About Us

Fostering Home helps those, with love in their hearts, open their homes to a child or teen in need.

Fostering Home is a partnership between Los Angeles County and a number of exceptional nonprofit organizations working to support young people in our community. This partnership serves as a gateway for potential foster and adoptive parents to learn more and take the next steps to becoming a resource for a young person in need.

A child or teen enters foster care when their safety at home is in question. When there’s no family to turn to, the County relies on foster parents, whose openhearted commitment to our young neighbors provides the stability and security needed for longterm success.

Fostering Home connects all individuals who express an interest in becoming a foster or adoptive parent with our lead nonprofit partner, RaiseAChild, who answers all their questions and helps them navigate the certification process.
